# Keeping http request open to receive notifications

hello

I am trying to connect to siemens appliances using their events API:

[https://api-docs.home-connect.com/events/#program-changes](https://api-docs.home-connect.com/events/#program-changes)

If I use curl GET api\_url/api/homeappliances/{haId}/events and the authorization token in the header, the curl remains open and I get notifications from appliances.

I'm not sure how to do the same in node-red. I've tried a http request node with the enable keep-connection allive box ticked and passed the authorization token header into the http request node, but I don't see anything on the output of the node and eventually I get a no response from server error.

The auth code works fine, because other API commands return the correct info.

Any thoughts?
