# Long shot but any help would be great

I'm using a multitech conduit...which apparently has an older version of node-red on it

I'm trying to npm some of the nodes.....but whenever i run npm i get:

ANY advice would be greatly appreciated...i've hard reset, im not sure what else i can do....

Looks like the version of npm installed is broken or out of date. (see [here](https://github.com/npm/npm/issues/20431) for more info)

I was able to upgrade tthe firmware and it fixed it.
