# Missing Input and Output Nodes in Node-RED - Seeking Help

Hello Node-RED community,

I am experiencing an issue with missing input and output nodes in Node-RED. I have tried checking for updates and even uninstalling and reinstalling Node-RED, but the issue persists. I would appreciate any suggestions or guidance on how to resolve this issue.

Welcome to the forum @LucLeDev

There are not any nodes in those collections in the core install. What particular nodes are you looking for?

I apologize for the confusion. I actually resolved the issue by realizing that I was following an old tutorial

Those are not the standard categories for those nodes. It looked correct the way you had it initially.
