# Modbus for beginners

Hi guys, im new user of node-red and im trying to create a modbus server that receives modbus tcp and i want to convert tcp to rtu, can i do this? i hope u can help me, and sorry if this post is not correct. Regards from Chile.

Hi. This is certainly disable but you're not likely to get anyone putting together a full demo for you.
I would start by spending a bit time learning node-red then try with the built in examples of the modbus nodes (examples are found under the import dialog)
I recommend watching this playlist: [Node-RED Essentials](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyNBB9VCLmo1hyO-4fIZ08gqFcXBkHy-6). The videos are done by the developers of node-red. They're nice & short and to the point. You will understand a whole lot more in about 1 hour. A small investment for a lot of gain.
When you have something going but get & stuck on a specify item, pop back & create a well titled post & I'm certain you'll get help.
