# Monitor incoming ip

Good morning, Guys!  
I would like to use a node to monitor the ip, in case the connection drops for some reason I get an information that something is wrong

Which IP - something other than the device running Node-RED (like a router or "smart thing" on your LAN network)?

My first recommendation would be to install `node-red-node-ping` - it can ping single or multiple things at once.

How do you want to be notified? Siren? Email? Telegram?
