# MQTT with node-red or home assistant

Hi guys,
I would like to learn how to setup MQTT device with node-red or home assistant.
My plan is to monitor different parts at home (temp, humidity etc.) so I thought sensors connected with MQTT and then MQTT would send data to the raspberry pi3.
Is this a good way of collecting data? What you can suggest, how to learn the best how to make MQTT connection? Do you know any good tutorials to suggest for the MQTT?

Yes, node red is a good way to go for home monitoring/control.
