# MySQL Cluster (3 nodes) with MySQL node

Hello all,
I know that a standalone mySQL server can be connected to node-red via the mySQL node meant for that.
However my question is, can we connect a mySQL cluster (composed of 3 nodes) to node-red, using the same mySQL node?

HI @Steve-Mcl I haven't tried yet, as I don't know if we can setup a hostname or domain name, instead of an IP.
I've only tried RQLite with HTTP nodes + HTTP 301 redirect, which works well.

As far as node red is concerned there is no difference between IP and host name, that is handled by the OS.
