Do you know if MariaDB has this?
I'm always uncomfortable with the way that Oracle treats their customers and try to avoid them.

They explicitly state that the community version will not have these features, typical oracle - if the source is not available it may be problematic.
Then again I would think in separation of concerns - storing javascript based stored procedures/functions inside the database gives me a bad taste. I get why they offer these features, on the edge it can help non-db developers, but somehow it does not feel right.
