# Need to get at a node from a backup

So, I'm making daily backups of my Pi NR install and I need to grab a node from within the backup so I can re-import it back into the original.

What's going to be the easiest way to do this?

The backup I have is a complete archive of the .node-red folder on the Pi

So you want to import the flows.json from a backup and then copy one node from there into existing flows?

Can't you import that into another NR installation? You could also try the [serverless NR](https://cdn.flowhub.org) to import the backup flows.json and export the node from there.

If that is indeed what you need to do.
