# No more incoming events from alexa-remote2-applestrudel

I use node-red-contrib-alexa-remote2-applestrudel to implement the connection to Amazon Alexa.
For a long time, this worked absolutely well.
However, for about 2 months now, I no longer receive any incoming events.
All commands sent to amazon work without any problems but e.g. event nodes on device activity or audio player state change etc. no longer forward any messages.
The following test flow illustrates my configuration:

However, it may not be a bug on the node side but a configuration problem on my end. Therefore, I am putting this up for discussion here once again.

Which version are you using?
5.0.7 is the latest version.
There was an issue with these nodes at the start of October 2021 after Amazon did some changes.

Yes, that's right of course - I forgot to give that information.
I am of course on 5.0.7 and have always been checking for a new version for the last 2 months.
But so far only I seem to have the problems.

Any progress on this topic?
I am able to setup the `node-red-alexa-remote2-applestrudel` in NR, and I get it to work when I navigate to the `localhost:3456` to authenticate with the Amazon login page, essentially with the proxy method and cookie method. However, I cannot get this to be persistent, after deployment, I have to reauthenticate, or re-login. This is a pain when power outages may occur, and I am sure this cookie would expire sometime.
Alexa use to play so nice way back in the day.

I had the same issue when i was accidentally giving a directory name for the File Path. Once I gave it an actual filename it worked great.
