Trying to register by email but I am not getting the confirmation email needed to complete the registration. Checked junk and tried twice, no joy.

Transient issue?
I did this a couple of hours ago and it worked for me Julian.
I used a chrome & a gmail address fwiw.

Apparently it was transient despite the worrying security errors on that page. After some page reloads it finally worked.
