Hi,

I am trying to receive an email message with a .txt attachment. The email is received and the body of the email displays the data from the .txt file but I really need the attachment adding not being in the body of the email.

I have an issue also as I am using the Siemens IOT2050 and its limited to Nodered v12.22.5

I will post the flow up shortly.

Cheers

Steve

The node-red-node-email (not contrib) does create an array of attached files

Thanks! Is there a repository of older versions? I cant update to V18 due to limitations set by Siemens. We are stuck on V12

I have tried npm i node-red-node-email@1.18.4

But do not get an Email palette

Did you restart node-red (or reboot the device) and refresh the browser page?

I am certain you realises this but for anyone following along: The better option is to move to a device that gets support / gets updates. The Revolution PI is once such industrial option. They are fast, reasonably priced and receive regular updates. You can even just update Node/Node-RED yourself.

Node V12 is End Of Life and which could end up being a significant security risk. If not security, certainly a compliance issue. Installing old versions of software is also risky since they were likely updated to patch CVEs or other security issues.

I absolutely agree with you - I am limited to this device though.

There is a way to bypass the limitations, which we have completed and this seems to be getting us back on track.

Yep, we are running from an SD card so have decided to bypass the recommendation and upgrade the NPM and NodeRed.
