Perhaps you can add a checkbox "_Single output with topics_" (or something like that). When activated, your node gets a single output (see [here](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/how-can-my-custom-node-have-dynamic-number-of-outputs/20256/2)). And all the output messages will be send to that output, but you specify a topic on each output messge. That way the messages can be routed/filtered afterwards in the next nodes of the flow.
