Hi,

I have been experiencing an issue for the last couple of days.

My OPC UA server is running correctly: I can create folders and variables with default values, assign permissions, and everything seems to work fine **except updating variable values**.

Since updating the value directly on the server did not work, I also tried writing the value through an OPC UA client connected to `localhost`. In both cases:

- no error is returned,
- the client node status says **"value written"** ,
- but in **Prosys OPC UA Browser** , the variable still keeps its default value `0.0` (`DataType: Float`).
- the target variable exists
- DataType is Float (correct)
- the write operation does not return any error

I really don't understand what is wrong in my code.

```
If anyone has an explanation or a solution, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately I have exactly the same situation.For now the only workaround I have found is to switch to node-red-contrib-opcua-suite (it has a different syntax but it currently works for me).
In the meanwhile I have discovered that the issue is related to the latest versions of node-red-contrib-opcua. The author of the package is already aware of the problem and will relase a fix in the next version. As another workaround uninstall the current version and install one of the previous ones.
Hope this helps.
