# Node-RED installation on 2nd Rpi

Hi,

I want to play around with Node-RED on a Rpi  
Now I already have a Rpi3b+ running with Domoticz and MQTT (zigbee2mqtt).

I was wondering If I could install Node-RED on a second Rpi3b, but still be able to use MQTT of the other one?

absolutely, the MQTT installed on the first Pi is a broker and NR on that Pi can publish, subscribe or both depending on the topic(s)

the second Pi can use that same broker (you need to specify the IP of Pi#1 since that is where the broker is) and can publish, subscript or publish and subscribe to topics passing thru the broker.
