# Node-red lagging

I used to use node-red very easy and fast with the code, which can change the color and size of the button icon imediatly. But now I have to reload the ui webpage to upload new status of the button. I just realized that the source code in node-red forum is not working too . Update to the latest [Dashboard version 2.27.0](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/announce-dashboard-version-2-27-0/39373/2). The bug has been fixed there.

You don't need to use ui\_control to set the icon colour - just use any msg property - eg
