Sorry I missed the notification for this one. Forget about the container itself in swarm mode, their lifecycle is managed by swarm tasks, which strive to satisfy your service definitions. I go to my stack, delete the service, and re-deploy (either the whole stack or just select the node-red service).
I thought that ddidn't work, that node-red didn't come back up, but trying again it is just it takes a long time to get fully working. I had assumed that once the log shows that node-red had started then it should be ok, but it sometimes seems to take a minute or so after that before it actually works.
