# Node-red update screen from CLI

Most of my other machines when updating look nice.

When updating one the screen doesn't have "tick" as it is going through the stages, but this:

It is headless machine, but I am sure I set up the config stuff correctly.

Just checking.

This depends on the terminal emulation used and the installed fonts.

Does `locale charmap` return UTF-8 ?

Purely a cosmetic thing about how that terminal displays certain characters. The `\u2714` is the unicode for the tick character it uses.

If you are able to ignore it, then no harm will come from doing so.
