# Not sure if there is a BMS templet

Good day all,

I am trying to find out if it is possible to build a dashboard and flows for a Building Management System or Smart Home Systems and/or is there a public project that can be built on. I am new to Node-RED so any good advice?

Welcome to the forums @jonty.

There is not (at least not usually) a ready to use Template.  
Node RED is very much proprietary when it comes to ones design.

But,  
The Node RED ecosystem has 100s of installable "Nodes", that are designed to speak to, control and receive data from various platforms: Cloud, MQTT, Zigbee, ZWave, Wi-Fi etc etc

When it comes to wiring all the control into a dashboard, the 2 that stand out are.
