# Npm Install issues

Good Afternoon
I want to run the following - npm install node-red-contrib-fibaro-devices
in your Node-RED user directory - typically ~/.node-red
I am new to linux so wondered if someone could please help
I connect to a computer that has ubuntu installed along with Home Assistant, Docker and node red.
Connecting via putty I cannot seem to find or navigate to the ~/.node-red directory.

If you are using docker then the .node-red folder is not so easily accessible. The best way of installing is not to use the command line at all but to do it using Manage Palette from the node-red flow editor.
