I'm what way is it interfering with it?

If you search for USB in the editor does it find anything?

Show us the full node red startup log please.

well I use a software on that usb device, and every once in a while that device has a handle from nodered

I want to stop that
I just installed node red, did not do anything around it
the only workaround is to disable the server

why is nodered accessing my usb device ? it is a usb lidar, I dont see why nodered would , by default access it

Do you have any flows added to the workspace?

Did you search (`ctrl-f`) for `usb` inside the node-red editor?

Did you install any contrib nodes? (What does palette manager show?)

I don't understand what you mean by that.

Also please show us the node red startup log.
