Hello,
I would like to use a small weather station which delivers weather information any second self contained, as soon as a client is connected to. I'm able to connect and to get the weather information. However, I'm not able to disconnect anymore.
I red a lot of threats in different forums, but I did not get an answer I can live with.
The only node palette I found which contains a TCP CLOSE, was
**node-red-contrib-tcp-client** (0.1.3). But it does not work in my Node-Red flow.
My question is , has anybody experiences with the mentioned palette and help?
I'm using Node-Red v5.0.4.

Thank you .

With Node-red's `tcp request node` you should be able to disconnect by sending `msg.reset:true` or immediately after a selected criteria.

Thank you for the answer.
However, it seems it does not work in my flow. I possibly do something wrong.
I reduces my flow just to connect and to disconnect to the weather server.
( As new user I can't upload the flow, here just the picture)

Can you please provide a simple example which works at your side?

Help is really appreciated.

You should only have one TCP node that you connect and then disconnect.

Great.

I guess you are just starting with node red, so I recommend watching this playlist: [Node-RED Essentials](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyNBB9VCLmo1hyO-4fIZ08gqFcXBkHy-6). The videos are done by the developers of node-red. They're nice & short and to the point. You will understand a whole lot more in about 1 hour. A small investment for a lot of gain.
