# Packet data size with ssl and without ssl encryption

Hi People,

I want to know if the data packet size increases, when we shifft from mqtt to mqtts.

1. I was first using mqtt
2. Now i am using an SSL encryption to use the mqtts.

Would be great if someone can help me to understand how much the size of data packet will increase beacuse of the encrption header?  
And how many extra data packets are needed for the handshake in case of SSL encyption?
