# PIN protected tab

Hi People,

I have created a basic dashboard, does what i need for now. But i would need a tab to be pin protected.  
How can it be done?

Hi,

you can use something like [this](https://flows.nodered.org/flow/7bcb0b049df4fa3c962294137ebaec19) in combination with ui\_control

Just remember that Dashboard is a Single Page App (SPA) so while that will give the _appearance_ of security, it is not actually secure. You will want to decide whether it is sufficient for your needs or not.
