# Problem installation Node-red with node.js 12

Good morning everybody

I would like to install node-red in win10  
1-. I installed Node.js 12  
2-. I start Node.js command prompt and i executed  
npm install -g --unsafe-perm node-red  
and it was finished the installation i executed node-red but i view this lines and the node-  
red no started.

I would like if someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong

Have you checked whether the settings file exists? It should be copied from the Node-RED installation on first startup. If you have run NR before upgrading to Node 12, it should already exist if you've ever run NR.
