# Problems creating the password hash

Well, I followed the instructions and installed the node-RED administrator.
I'm running it on the windows 10 CMD.
The problem is this: when I request a password hash by the command "node-red-admin hash-pw" a gap to enter the password appears, but I can't type anything. When pressing enter the hash is created, but I didn't insert anything. I tried to run as adm but it hasn't changed.
Am I missing something very obvious or is it really uncommon?
Sorry for the simplicity of the question, I have a bit of difficulty.

We don’t show the typing as it’s a password you don’t want to reveal. So just type it anyway.
