# Problems with conditional function

You can use the same [i describe here in answer to your question](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/last-message-comparation-with-new-message/30511) but apply it to the output message and not the input message.  
Otherwise you could also use [the rbe node](https://flows.nodered.org/node/node-red-node-rbe).
