# Read an excel on node-red 2.26.1

Hi everybody,  
I have just started to use node-red on a cloudgate and I would like to read an excel file on my PC (i dont know how import it on the cloudgate) in order to convert his colomn into a csv file that I can use on node red.  
But this error show up : ""not permitted to read C:\Users\FARE INGENIERIE\Documents\Lorawan sensor connection\test.txt" (i tried with a .txt file here but it is the same with an xlsx)  
I also tried to import new nodes through npm but when I import an .json file, it says : " **Error** : TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'substring')"  
What can I do ?

Never mind, I found it from the icon in your picture `LuvitRED`.

But that gave no more clue about how it works and what features it has.

You need to contact [option.com](http://option.com) I'm unless there is another user of the service on here who can help.
