# Read pdf using ocr teseract?

Hi team,  
i want to read the data from pdf using teseract component proviede by node red.  
But i dont know how can i pass input parameer as a file name .

Assuming you are using node-red-contrib-tesseract then the readme tells you how to pass the filename.

the readme for the node (and therefore the info panel on the right hand side)  
says to pass it as msg.payload

send the node a message with the file name as msg.payload
