# Reopen Topics / Reply to closed topic

I somewhat agree with @PizzaProgram , on the disadvantage of automatically closing a subject after XX days.  
Especially for those who share a flow, a node or a project.  
We know there is always something to add (our women can testify 😚), or a correction etc.

Why close these messages automatically?

I take an example from this topic:

Kevin was forced to open another [Still testing nodes for mp4 video streaming - #4](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/still-testing-nodes-for-mp4-video-streaming/37099/13) to continue. I understand people who get lost in discussion threads.

I myself was faced with a "Share your Nodes" closed when I had bug fixes to add.  
Asking a moderator to reopen, yes that's cool but not practical.
