# Searching for node types amongst node packages

Hi There,

is there a simple way to find packages the provide specific node types? For example like this:

turns out when I search for string, I get this:

the package in red actually provides the node type `string` that I was looking for.

Already works but no filter needed. Just search the type.  
A filter will be added in a futur version

Part of the palette improvements. I don't know if Nick plans to integrate it into 4.1. There's already a lot of stuff.

You did look at the second screenshot? Yes it works but can you tell me which of the packages provide the `string` node type?

The one I highlighted was the package I found myself (by searching by type) - the point is that searching for "string" results in 30+ packages _but_ which one provides the _node type_ `string`?

Can you tell me that from the second screenshot?

Great so this will happen sometime in the future. Ok, well then I'll just wait until the future comes.

EDIT: for those that might need this _now_, there is a [flow](https://flowhub.org/f/6e5e07ca55b6566a) that filters all packages by node types.

I edited my message at the same time. So to answer you, a filter will be added but I don't know if it's planned for v4.1.

The search works on types but is not exclusive, I mean types, name, keywords are also included.
