Hello!

I am trying to setup an entity within HA from Node-Red but I am getting this error:
"Sensor update attempted without connection to server."

I have other entities that are being updated and pushed to HA just fine in another flow, I am not sure what the issue is on this flow.

I am using an 'mqtt in' node, some switch nodes to sort some devices, and finally, a sensor HA entity node.

Not sure where the Node-Red logs are located or where it would be a good place to start troubleshooting.

HAOS via VM in ESXI:
Home Assistant 2022.7.3
Supervisor 2022.07.0
Operating System 8.2
Frontend 20220707.0 - latest

Node-Red add-on
Current version: 12.0.2

Companion integration using HACS
v1.0.9

Not sure if it matters but this is my MQTT setup:

 ![Screen Shot 2022-07-13 at 1.50.02 PM](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex026/uploads/nodered/original/3X/6/5/659246062b47955764d522b66346fe9e2cf40eee.png)

That all works, as I can see the data I want in the debug, but for some reason, it just doesnt update that into my HA entity

I should also note that it does push the entity into my Dashboard in HA, but no data, says 'Unknown'

So there is a connection there, but partial

**Update: No, this didn't fix it**

Would this have anything to do with it?
Im thinking its getting a value of int when it needs a string? Would that cause that error? Seems unlikely but I have no clue

Exact same problem here. I cannot say if previous versions worked because I just set it up.
