My team recently started using FlowFuse and we are enjoying it.

Before using FlowFuse, we had separate Node-Red servers and a rule that the production servers have a light theme. In contrast, the development servers have a dark theme, to make the server you connect to easier to identify.

Currently, using DevOps pipelines, the theme is carried over from a development instance to the production instance.

My request: can we have separate themes for different steps in a DevOps pipeline?

Is this a request specifically for FlowFuse or for core Node-RED?

@TotallyInformation This request is for FlowFuse's DevOps Piplines feature.

Thanks. Moved to the FlowFuse category.

The theme is loaded from the `settings.js` file (var/projects/\<id\>). I don't think the content is copied between instances but I could be wrong.

A workaround is to edit that file but it is not a good practice.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Could you create an issue for this?

I will share this with the Engineering team if they haven't already seen it, but adding it it will ensure that it is captured and can be added to the road map.

Hi @gdziuba

I have created an issue.

> Currently, when using DevOps Pipelines, if you have a dark theme applied to your development instance and you deploy to your production instance, the production instance will also apply a dark theme.
>
> It would be handy if the Production and Development instances in a DevOps Pipeline could have separate themes to assist with identifying the instance better (my team has a standard where our development instances are dark-themed, while our production instances are light-themed).

> \### Have you provided an initial effort estimate for this issue?

Awesome. It's great to see there is already traction with it. Thanks for making the effort to do so. I love this community.
