# \`slider\` question with the \`msg.enabled\` option

I want to make sure I am not going nuts.

This keeps biting me and I think I now have the cause.

I have a `slider` and it has a value of `6` as an example.

I send the node a message: `msg.enabled = false`

This stops the `slider` being slid.......

But does it also wipe the vale?  
If so: Why?  
How can I stop it happening? Or:  
How can I restore the value when it is re-enabled?

it doesn't wipe the value.
