# Socket ID of the dashboard

Hi,  
can I affect the socketid ? =\> "IP:1880/ui/#!/0?socketid=AnUFbQQ1zxQzKf9sAAAL"

can I change "AnUFbQQ1zxQzKf9sAAAL" to a name that I determine ?  
where is the ID set ?

No. The ID is created when the client and the server do their handshake. Also, if you reload the client, you will get a new socketid. It is generated by the [Socket.io](http://Socket.io) library.
