# Subflow - Automatic Naming of Subflow Node - Followup

Came across @eddee54455 question because I'm trying to do the same thing. Would like the name of a subflow instance to be dynamically created based on the properties of the subflow instance.

Same as what a packaged node can do with the "label" function - [node-red/15-change.html at master · node-red/node-red · GitHub](https://github.com/node-red/node-red/blob/master/packages/node_modules/%40node-red/nodes/core/function/15-change.html#L97)

Earlier question got no replies before being closed so seems like this is not possible, but thought I would ask again in case things have changed since then.
