# Switch dashboard theme from dashboard toggle

Hi,

I am a happy user of node red.  
I was wondering. would it be possible to change the Dashboard theme from within the dashboard?  
A toggle of some sort, pushing a certain payload.

I read a lot about css, but I dont use custom themes. I dont have that need. I just want to switch between the default themes from within the dashboard 🙂 But I dont know if thats exposed

That isn't exposed, and needs a restart/reload of the dashboard to make happen. I guess it may be possible to fake/force via some template js/css code but I've not tried so can't advise.
