# The flow is sending the same message/image twice to me

Are you absolutely sure that there are not two email messages being sent?

Another thought. Since you are running your own server you should be able to look at they server logs and work out what is happening.

I'm not running my own mail server, it's from [simply.com](http://simply.com).

I can get 4 messages, but it's 4 unique images, and then next time the flow is running, I get the 4 same images again for the 2. time.

But I have now added this "old" duplicate/deduplicate node, and its working 100%  
Now I still get two image of each message/mail, but the duplicated message is stopped with [node-red-contrib-deduplicate (node) - Node-RED (nodered.org)](https://flows.nodered.org/node/node-red-contrib-deduplicate) I have added it after my function node.

I can remember that I had some issuse with the "email" node:

And then suddenly a few days later, the node was updated and then it worked.  
So I think that this issue is also due to an error in the "Email" node and that it is probably currently only I have experienced it.

Sorry, I misread your earlier post.

In that case, apparently the server is not deleting them the first time.

The filter node will not fix that, it would only work if the messages were immediately repeated one at a time.
