If you are using the exec node in `spawn` mode, then you may be interested in a node made specifically for using ffmpeg, [Node-red-contrib-ffmpeg-spawn](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/node-red-contrib-ffmpeg-spawn/44427). It is currently experimental and the documentation is not perfect, but it may suit your needs.
