# Unable to install/update Palettes

Hi, whenever i try to update some Palettes or install new one (for example: node-red-contrib-netatmo-dashboard 1.0.0) I get this error. In node\_modules folder there is already that folder which asks that log to rename hap-node.js. Thanks!
My Node Red version 3.0.2 and Node.js v18.15.0.

Delete the folder /home/pi/.node-red/node\_modules/.hap-nodejs-HCC0crtW and any other similar folders, starting with dot and with the random characters on the end. They are temporary folders that should get deleted but sometimes get left lying around.

I hate to be pedantic, but I assume that when you refer to "palettes" you mean "nodes."
The [palette](https://nodered.org/docs/user-guide/editor/palette/) is the area (sidebar) in the editor that displays all the nodes that are loaded and available to use. This confusion seems to be getting more common lately. It's relatively harmless and hasn't kept you from getting an answer to your question, but consistent terminology can help us communicate clearly.
