# Using an additional npm repository for nodes

hello 🙂  
i would like to enable the palette to install from a private repo aswell.  
i found this design draft from 2016

but i couldn't find any hints on the current progress.

just a .npmrc inside the nodered settings folder seems not to work. Any ideas ?
