# Using LMS111-10100 sensor

Hello im in a project about using LMS111-10100 sensor i just want to know if i can use Node-RED to work with the sensor, cause we are trying differents programs and code lenguages, and find the better to do the project.

Well looking at the data sheet

It says it it supports Ethernet (TCP/IP), Serial (RS-232) and Can so it looks possible to use it but you are going to have to play with it to find out how to get it to work.

ok thanks, so technically node red its compatible with LMS111-10100 but i have to find how i can do that, also another question, so nodo red can handle ethernet, Serial and Can conection?

There are many nodes out there, some comes with the initial install and there are more that 5000 contributed nodes you can search thru, just click on the `flows` tab to access the contributed nodes.

On the left hand side in your node-red scroll down and check out the installed nodes.

I recommend watching this playlist: [Node-RED Essentials](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyNBB9VCLmo1hyO-4fIZ08gqFcXBkHy-6). The videos are done by the developers of node-red. They're nice & short and to the point. You will understand a whole lot more in about 1 hour. A small investment for a lot of gain.
