# Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/70

Hello. I am trying to get some data out of my controller to nodered.
I use a FTDI cable and connected to ve.direct port. I tested the cable with my phone and i run victronconect without bluetooth active and i can read and set data into the app.
I run Ve.Direct usb flow on my nodered but i have no connection with controller. When i inject a timestamp i have message Data Stale or Unavailable. Do i have to inject a payload with a command to start sending data ?
Any help is welcome.

An update:
I use serial node to connect to MPPT with ve.Direct cable and use this [function](https://github.com/meccip/Node-RedSmartSolar150_70).
