# Web access to the settings file

While Sean was helping me I got stuck.

`<IP address>:1880/settings`  
(edited for clarity)

`Unauthorized`

How do I get to that page then? There **IS** a password set on NR.

I just tested on a nodered system without security and got a page showing settings just fine.  
I tried on a system with passwords enabled, and got the same result you have; unauthorized.

It seems to me to be locked out on passworded instances.

Not sure that helps you much, but I'd say your system isn't broken...
