# Whatsapp notifications

Hay how do i get the senders name from a whatsapp message i can get the message  
But i want if "mom" sends me a message i want wled to turn blue  
If "Brothe" sends message light turns green and on and on  
How do i get the name  
Edit i use node red in homeassistant

If you feed your WhatsApp message into a debug node set to show the complete message, you can see what message properties are available.

As a brand new user: I recommend watching this playlist: [Node-RED Essentials](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyNBB9VCLmo1hyO-4fIZ08gqFcXBkHy-6). The videos are done by the developers of node-red. They're nice & short and to the point. You will understand a whole lot more in about 1 hour. A small investment for a lot of gain.

TLDR;

1. Add a debug node to the canvas
2. Double click the debug node
3. Set the option to output complete message
4. watch the debug side bar (panel on the Right had side of the editor)
