# When disabling a node doesn't (Tuya-smart)

I started using this node [https://github.com/hgross/node-red-contrib-tuya-smart](https://github.com/hgross/node-red-contrib-tuya-smart) to control an oem Tuya switch. Disabling the node in the Editor has no effect, it continues to poll the device. There are no config nodes present.
What (if any) code is required from the node to make it compatible?

One to raise with the author I think. Possibly they are spawning a sub-process and not cleaning up via the correct close method but that is just a guess.

I already checked that, and they close the polling timer in the "close" event... So indeed best to create an issue on Github
