# Write data from node-red to firestore

Hello I am trying to connect to firebase firestore (not the real-time database).  
I can read my collection and document but I cannot write to it.  
The msg.firestore property is mentioned in the documentation but I don't get the settins right.  
Does anyone here have experience with the settings?  
A second question:  
What is the difference between the nodes "node-red-contrib-cloud-firestore 2.1.1" and  
“Node-red-contrib-firestore 1.0.2”
