The device is a fiber to ethernet converter, but it only has one port. The Tasmota device is WiFi only so if I misunderstood about the Cerbo connecting to the Tasmota directly then I will need to get another WiFi router anyway I suppose.

It seems unlikely to me & I don't think that's what @hominidae was suggesting you can do. (Apologies if I misunderstand.)

If the Tasmota device is wifi only I think you will need some sort of router or access point nearby.

What device converts ethernet to fibre? How many ethernet ports does it have?
