I've never taken bearings except in degrees, although "half point green" is sometimes heard when sailing too close to the boundary of a channel. :worried:

Exactly my point!

I tried to process all the required changes:

  • The node has been renamed to node-red-contrib-compass

  • Currently only 16 points are being used, also in the translation files

  • The french translation is now available

  • The conversions have been renamed:

  • The subsets have been renamed:

    image

  • All texts have been updated in both the info panel and the readme page

I'm not sure if I have to open a dedicated topic for that question...
I installed your library and it is awesome !

However, I have a question:
If I use a gauge to display the wind direction, how can I have the Cardinals in the middle and the arrow showing the angle in the same compass gauge?

Yeah this needs to be added as an option to the gauge-compass node in node-red-dashboard.

Yes indeed I think you might get more response when you open a dedicated topic, because people with knowledge about gauges might not read discussions about cardinal point conversions...

Some of such do read :wink:
This seems interesting thing. If somebody can make nice sketch about the layout and may be some words about what the gauge should give for users, then it is highly possible that such gauge will be created.
