Create a server to receive data from client device

I have one modem which is able to send data to server with Http. I am trying to set a nodes to check the data received from this modem. for example, my node-red is running on a debian vpn pc, and modem is on the vpn network. I put address is 172.32.0.34(my debian vpn address), if I put 172.32.0.34/data to get data to post. Frankly I am confused by this setting because i don't have any thing to work.

Can you go into more details?

Are you actually saying that the modem itself SENDs data to an HTTP endpoint? If so, can you adjust where it sends the dats? If you can, then you can send it direct to Node-RED.

Or are you saying that something has to GET the data from the modem's HTTP endpoint? In which case, you would need to get Node-RED to make an http-request periodically.
